Aims
Biddulph in Bloom was established in 1991, the constitution was adopted in 1998 and was registered as a charity in 2005. The aim was to try to regenerate a very depressed former coal mining town through the use of plants, trees and bulbs with the help of volunteers and the local community. We have strived to give back a sense of pride and belonging to the people of Biddulph and to present our town at its best. We have tried to capitalise on visitors coming to Biddulph Grange National Trust Gardens by encouraging them to visit the town.
Our charity continues with our initial aims and also tries to improve the environment by restoring hedgerows, planting trees for shade, beauty and wildlife, and planting flowers to encourage pollinating insects.
